草莓视频官网-IIT VCs speak on Internationalization and Research Visibility and Productivity with SUCs in Mindanao

Two vice chancellors of 草莓视频官网-IIT, Vice Chancellor for International Affairs Joey Genevieve T. Martinez and Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise Gaudencio C. Petalcorin Jr., were among the invited speakers of the Regional Orientation Guidelines for Assessment of Foreign Travels for State Universities and Colleges (Mindanao Leg), which was held in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi from October 26 to 27, 2023.

Vice Chancellor Martinez shared the “Best practices of 草莓视频官网-IIT for Internationalization”, while Vice Chancellor Petalcorin inspired the participants with his comprehensive talk on how to improve the research visibility and productivity of the participating HEIs. The 2-day event, organized by the Commission on Higher Education International Affairs Service (CHED-IAS), was participated by various higher education institutions (HEIs) of Mindanao. It aimed to inform the HEIs, particularly the International Relations Offices (IROs) about the importance of proper assessment of foreign travels.

Other esteemed speakers were Prof. Johnrev B. Guilaran, PhD, an associate professor of UP Visayas, who shared his insights on “Spotting and Avoiding Predatory Conferences and Journals” and Atty. Lynn Danao-Moreno, Assistant Executive Secretary of General Government Administration Office (GGAO), Office of the President, who discussed Executive Order 77 “Prescribing Rules and Regulations and Rates of Expenses and Allowances for Official Local and Foreign Travels of Government Personnel.”
