Biological Sciences Department

The strength of the multiple programs offered by the Department of Biological Sciences lies in both unity and diversity. Our programs are unified by a set of courses taken by all students, which introduce fundamental observations and explanations of life processes -- essential knowledge of any future biological expert. Upon this common foundation, each program builds a unique understanding of a particular group of organisms or suite of processes. In the latter part students are to take in depth courses on their specialized field respectively that will cultivate and motivate appreciation and application.
