Computer Engineering Program Educational Objectives
The educational objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering programme in
²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø- Iligan Institute of Technology are to prepare graduates who after
five years of their professional career can:
- Apply their technical knowledge to function in the advancement of technologies in the
industries as practicing professionals.
- Engage collaboration within a professional team environment and career challenges with
high moral values for life-long learning.
- Advance professionally to greater roles in engineering, graduate education and even in
community development by applying technical, leadership and communication skills to
support various service activities.
Computer Engineering Program Outcomes
The following are the student outcomes of the BS Computer Engineering program of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø-Iligan
Institute of Technology. These are expected from the students by the time of their
graduation.
- Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, physical, life and information sciences; and
engineering sciences appropriate to computer engineering.
- An ability to design and conduct complex experiments, as well as to analyze and
interpret data.
- An ability to design a complex system, component, or process to meet desired needs
within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political,
ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, in accordance with
standard.
- Ability to recognize, formulates and solve complex computer engineering problem.
- An understanding of the effects of computer engineering solutions in a global, economic,
environmental and societal context
- Apply knowledge in contemporary issues
- An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for
computer engineering practice
- Knowledge and understanding of computer engineering and management principles as a
member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
