Project Title: Diversity and product development of entompathogenic nematodes and fungi as biopesticide from selected agricultural areas of Mindanao
Project Leader: Dr. Nanette Hope Sumaya
Duration: March 2025 to December 2025
Salary: Php 15, 208.80/month
Tentative schedule of interview: March 7, 2025

Qualifications: 

  • BS Biology or MS Biology or the allied field graduate with strong background/ experience working with Entomopathogenic Nematode and Fungi,
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • Good computer skills (Word processor, Excel, etc,),
  • Knowledge on statistical tools is a plus,
  • With a pleasing personality, independent, resourceful, and willing to be trained.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet the project leader regularly and report any progress related to the project research.
  • Prepare purchase and job order requests of all items in the Line Item Budget (LIB) related to the project and Coordinate with assigned staff in admin for the preparation of the PPMP of the project,
  • Responsible in performing research works (under field and laboratory conditions) or whatever may be appropriate to assist the project leader: 
  • Prepare a weekly work activities
  • Prepares routine clerical duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the project leader
  • Manages and replies to project-related correspondence
  • Conduct monthly inventory of research consumables 
  • Regularly attends weekly laboratory meetings and monthly presentations
  • Assist undergraduate and graduate students with their thesis in case related to the current research
  • Prepare progress and terminal reports
  • Assist the project leader in drafting SI/Scopus indexed publications
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the project leader related to the research project
