Project Title: Accessibility Evaluation of Websites: The Case of Municipalities in Northern Mindanao

Duration: 11 months

Salary: Php15,208.80/month

Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Conducting a review of web accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure the audit methodology is comprehensive and up-to-date.
  • Evaluating websites for accessibility using tools such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, color contrast checkers, and other assistive technologies.
  • Analyzing website accessibility issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicating with website owners or developers to explain accessibility issues and provide guidance on how to fix them.
  • Documenting all findings, including detailed descriptions of accessibility issues, testing procedures, and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with other research assistants or team members to ensure consistency in evaluation criteria and reporting procedures.
  • Staying up-to-date on new technologies, software, and research related to web accessibility and sharing that knowledge with the team.
  • Conducting user testing with people who have disabilities to evaluate the accessibility of the website from their perspective.
  • Ensuring that all research activities are carried out in an ethical and respectful manner.
  • Providing input and support for the preparation of research reports and publications.
