- All entries submitted must be original songs and shall not infringe any copyright or any other right of any third party. Songs may have multiple co-writers, but only one name should be designated on the entry form. Entrant shall, by entering, indemnify and hold the organizer free from any claim inconsistent with copyright law and any other right of any other third party.
- Entrant may submit as many songs as desired. It is preferred that entrant put entry/ies on one CD, and it is required that the song(s) for submission and name/s of entrant be clearly marked on the CD. It is entrant's responsibility to ensure that the submitted song(s) are complete and playable. A copy of the lyrics must also be submitted together with the CD.
- An entrant may be composed of more than one person.
- Entries will be screened by a qualifying committee who will short-list the finalists, and the short list will be sent to the judges who will determine the winners.
- Lyrics of the song may be in any language provided that keywords “ݮƵ (ݮƵ)” and/or “IIT (Iligan Institute of Technology)” are used. Adherence to the Institute’s vision: “A world-class institution of higher learning renowned for its excellence in Science and Technology and for its commitment to the holistic development of the individual and society” is highly encouraged.
- All genres of music are accepted in this competition. However song/s should not be less than three minutes and should not exceed five minutes.
- Winning song shall become the official graduation song in the immediately following graduation ceremonies.
- Entrant agrees that winning song shall be played for graduation ceremonies and can be used for any other promotional purpose.
- Entrant retains all ownership rights to all submitted song(s).
- The criteria for judging are as follows:

- All entries must be submitted on or before October 15, 2014 at the Office of the Dean, College of Arts and Social Sciences.
