Description:
- Held in celebration of the International Year of Chemistry
- It is a way of participating in the World Water Monitoring this year, done worldwide.
- The event is sponsored by prestigious international organizations like UNESCO and other chemistry organizations.
- It will be conducted simultaneously with the other universities in the Philippines. In Mindanao, this activity is hosted by ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø, Ateneo de Davao & Notre Dame of Marbel University.
- The participants are freshmen high school students coming from 10 selected high schools in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur.
- Highlight of the event: there will be four activities to analyze and treat local water from streams, rivers. lakes, sea water and even tap water.
- The results of these activities will be uploaded to the global database. Later the students can view and compare their results on a global, interactive map on this website: .
