2010 Peace through Technology Training Program: Call for Applications for Iligan City

We are looking for dynamic young advocates from Iligan City in the fields of peace building; Information and Communications Technology (ICT); social entrepreneurship; and sustainable development.
This program offers you an opportunity to work alongside young leaders who are committed to change and who are dedicated to being that change!
The Training
The 2010 Peace through Technology Training is a nationwide program for Filipino youth. It will be held simultaneously in the cities of Zamboanga, Iligan and Metro Manila. Twenty young leaders from each city will be selected to participate in our trainings.
Our trainings provide participants with skills and theory in the following areas:
- Facilitation and Peace Building;
- Information and Communications Technology (ICT);
- ICT as a tool for building understanding between people from different backgrounds ; and
- Project management.

Qualifications:
- 16 to 25 years old
- Must be able to attend all workshops

- Electronic submission: Email your application form with one photo and one endorsement from your school or organization you are a member of to peacetech.iligan@gmail.com.
- You may also submit your application to Prof. Juvanni Caballero at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø-IIT Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao.
- Submit your application on or before December 05, 2010.
Selected applicants will be notified via email and/or phone on December 25, 2010.
This program is free of charge.
Certificates awarded to those who satisfactorily complete the workshop series.
