The Production outfit of the PROBE Media Foundation, Inc. is partnering with the OVCRE Multimedia Information & Dissemination Unit (MMIDU) and the Department of English, CASS to conduct a three-day workshop on Citizen Journalism on July 27-29, 2010 at the Institute Mini-theatre.
In collaboration with the United Nations (UN), the training program addresses the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) with its global concerns: poverty and hunger, universal education, gender equality, child and maternal health, HIV/AIDS, environmental sustainability and global partnership between first and third world countries.
Participants are expected to present 3-minute video films on the above concerns for broadcast and for the UN Millennium Campaign’s “The Search for the Philippines’ MDG Warriors” student competition in September 2010.
The free training is only for 30 student participants. We are therefore inviting three (3) student representatives from each school/college and the IDS to participate in the workshop. Interested students must see their EC governor to be enlisted and pre-register by paying P510.00 for the food/snacks per participant on or before July 21, 2010.
