Subject	Instituting a Specific Period for Admission of Students of All Graduate Programs for the 1st Semester AY 2015-2016 and a Template for the Concept Paper

In order to achieve a more orderly and academic conduct of screening and admitting graduate students to their prospective courses, all Departments which are offering graduate programs are enjoined to schedule a specific period for admission of students for 1st Semester, AY 2015-2016. Admission period may start to this date until 17th of July. Below is the schedule set by the SGS which the Departments shall follow:

Date	Phases/Activity
June 1-July 10, 2015	Submission of requirements and pertinent documents (to include administration of examinations and conduct of interviews)
July 11-July 14, 2015	Submission to SGS Office of the results for final processing
July 15-July 17, 2015	Notification of results by the SGS Office
July 28-August 17, 2015	Enrollment Period

Likewise, starting the first semester, all students shall be required to follow a template in writing their concept papers and to submit a personal statement (please see attached files).

Departments may come up with their own implementing guidelines and may enforce additional provisions to the above guidelines provided that these are not contrary or do not contradict the policies set by the SGS.
